Lee Nation graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Economics from the University of Tulsa in 1973. He was a National Merit Scholar. He worked as a research assistant for the Department of Economics doing computerized statistical research. Lee graduated with distinction at the University Missouri-Kansas City Law School in 1975. He was Order of the Bench and Robe, Law Review and graduate assistant in corporations and taxation. He was also President of the Student Bar Association.
Lee practiced law in Kansas City, Missouri from 1975 to 1998, specializing in litigation. He has tried, as lead counsel, over 150 jury trials and handled over 200 appeals. In 1979, he was lead counsel in Duren vs Missouri in the United States Supreme Court, which struck down the systematic under-representation of women on juries. He has appeared on Good Morning America, the BBC, and local television. He has taught at numerous Continuing Legal Education Seminars, as well as presentations at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Law School.
In 1998, Lee moved to Flagstaff, Arizona where he began teaching at Northern Arizona University in the College of Business in Law and Finance. In 2000, he joined Goldberg & Osborne. Lee is a member of the Arizona Bar, Missouri Bar, United States Supreme Court Bar, United States Tax Court Bar and has been admitted to numerous federal circuit and district court bars. He is also a member of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association.
Lee has two children attending school in Flagstaff, Arizona and a grown daughter in Prescott, Arizona.
